Martin Luther King Jr. (1965) once said, â€Å"We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.† This quote stuck has always stuck with me and that is because of living in many places and experiencing different cultures and societal norms; I cam to learn no matter where someone came from or where they have been, being part of the military no matter the branch is part of one big family. Throughout an individuals life they experience events, which have great influence on their development, whether it is good or bad. In this paper I will be covering various aspects about events in my life that influenced my development at during this point in my life. This point is going to be at the ages of 14 to 17, also known as adolescence. Before I talk about this point in my life I am first going to cover certain relevant background information, family influences, sociocultural and environmental influences, and finally I will discuss my own personal development d uring the adolescent stage, specifically that of the ages 14 to 17.
